19.09.2024

The senior management team of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art visited the Yıldız Holding Campus in Çamlıca to examine the art collection.

The senior management team, consisting of influential names who direct the work of The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) in New York, one of the largest and most prestigious museums in the world, visited Yıldız Holding's Campus in Çamlıca to examine the works in the Yıldız Holding art collection on site. At the meeting hosted by pladis Chairman Murat Ülker, Metropolitan Museum of Art officials were accompanied by Yıldız Holding Chair of the Board Ali Ülker and pladis CEO Salman Amin.

The Met team, who examined the extensive art collection with admiration, had the opportunity to experience the Holding's Islamic Art and Contemporary Art Collection, which brings together rare works, as well as a selection of archaeological artifacts that take you on a journey through human history.

Murat Ülker: “We had the pleasure of meeting in the universal language of art and sharing our cultural heritage”

Murat Ülker, who stated that they invited the management team to Yıldız Holding’s Çamlıca campus in Istanbul during their visit to the museum in recent months, said: “Last month, I made GOYA (No Longer Sitting in Place) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and invited the team to our Holding to see our art collection. Together with The Met team, who visited our Çamlıca Campus, we had the opportunity to visit our exhibitions, which include contemporary art and archaeological works, as well as 'Talking Writings', which includes calligraphy works from the Yıldız Holding Art Collection. On the occasion of this precious visit, we had the happiness of meeting in the universal language of art and sharing our cultural heritage. While examining the rare works of valuable artists in our collection with the Met Museum team, we witnessed art's journey from past to present. The elegance of traditional calligraphy and the innovative spirit of contemporary art came together in this special meeting.

Then, we showed the beauties of Istanbul, the apple of the eye of the world, with a Bosphorus tour. As I always say, we have seen once again that art has a unifying power, teaching us to look from different perspectives and healing power. I would like to thank The Met Museum team for accepting our invitation for their kind visit and pleasant conversation. We were very happy to host them.”
